I want to get a new exhaust system. I got a price of $450 for a full custom catback exhaust. He can tune it to my liking. What size piping should I get? What improvements can I expect in HP and torque or loses in each? Thank you.
$450 for a full custom catback? What brand muffler are you getting installed on it? $450 might be a little pricey. If you're going aftermarket. You can normally get an APEXi/Greddy/Injen muffler for around $200 +shipping. Take that down to an exhaust shop and they'll normally install it + cat/axle back pipe it. for under $150. There really isn't too much "Tuning" involved with a non-turbo car. 2.25' piping is normally the best way to go. HP gains will be anywhere from 2-3 to 6-7.
