ive had my 09 gts cvt for like 6-7 months now and this has happened to me 3 times, sometimes when i pull out onto a road and start accelerating, the RPMs just keep climbing even tho im in D mode with the CVT. im not accelerating fast at all and the RPMs just keep sowly climbing all the way up to 4k, i hit the gas a couple time n switch it from sport to D and eventually it drops again, has any1 else experienced this or know why it may have hapened?
thats what allways happens! something brakes or doesn't work right but when you pull into the dealler it some how works fine! i makes me so mad! lol!
that's the nature of the cvt. it doesnt "shift" per se. once you quit accelerating and hit a cruising speed the rpm's will come down. or if you dont like it , keep it in sport mode most of the time and shift manually. If the rpms don't want to comeback down after you've hit a cruising speed, then you might have a problem.
