I just talked to Rob, they are working on the project as we speak.. they will be doing a dyno in about 2-3 weeks.
okay so a dyno in 2-3 weeks...i'm assuming we should expect it to be out shortly after the dyno then?
who knows... talk to RRM, they said their about 80% complete with the project if i remember correctly.
we started to turbo car for the first time yesterday, all is well so far, just a few little hickups and it will be off to get dynod and tuned pretty soon.
Great to hear. I got my money set up for the headers, and should be up there for the turbo. Can't wait!
Last I heard the header was for NA applications only. Why buy it when you plan on buying the turbo kit?
nope. The exhaust manifold (headers) will be different. you could in-theory still buy the headers for the "now" performance and just sell your headers to someone else who plans on staying N/A once you buy the Turbo-kit but you'd be wasting money thinking you can have both. not possible
Oh I see. Thanks. I'm not one that would know much "engine" wise, so I didn't have any idea. Yeah, I can always buy it for now, and sell it. My cousin also has a lancer, I can probably just sell it to him. But I gotta think about it.
im looking for a post showing the diff. between both NA and Turbo exhaust manifolds..i'll see if i can find it. edit: Found it. http://lancertuners.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=1611&start=0 The very first page. I put a pic up of headers. Not lancer-specific headers but headers none the less
IMO you are probably better off saving the money and not purchasing the N/A header if you have every plans on going turbo. By the time you get the N/A header and get it installed and the have to uninstall and then sell it you are not going to never make up that money back.
So what are the specs on the Kit? Turbo, FMIC size, Premade Maps?, does it come with a Downpipe or is that up 2 us?
i belive they will release that information after the kit is complete and right after the dyno...they dont want competitors looking at what they have
any updates on RRM turbo? how was the dyno? (if they have tested already) and when will it be ready for purchase..im tired of a decent car
+1 that would i heard to that if they can't resolve the issues with the cvt ecu there may be no turbo for the cvt...
