So i went to my not so local mitsubishi dealer, had to drive about an hour. I paid 210.00 for them to flush my cvt tranny out.

cvt takes 8 qrts of special cvt fluid at $18.65 a qrt

Since i was there i had them check my recalls if there is any open... There was none...

OH did i mention that i test drove a ralliart? wow.... i loved it!!

no not really, i have done it because i have 33k on my car and just to have a piece of mind that its already done... consult your manual or call mitsubishi to see when you have to perform that service...

Nice! I got this weird rattling noise coming from my car.......does it around 2k-3500k rpms....I think its a heat sheild coming loose hopefully but I called my dealer and they are gonna charge me like $105 - $150 just to figure out what it is and then fix it.....

Both right around 2-3k rpm........I know like 3 ASE Master Techs and they seem to think it a pulley........I dunno but its really pissing me off.....I noticed it awhile back way before I modded and now its just getting worse

my opinion .. go under 2000 rpm .. or go over 3500 rpm =)) to stop the noise . :D jk

usually when im coming off the highway and downshifting the rattling is pretty loud between 2k to 4k but then when i shift into the next gear it stops. usually in 3rd or 4th gear

i had that same exact problem, and when I took it in for an oil change, they said they would check it out. While doing the oil change they said they noticed that the oil filter was coming loose so they figured that was the problem. After the oil change no more rattling. So you might want to check that.
