TOYS FOR TOTS TOY DRIVE!!!

As many of you know, we have had PHENOMENAL results in the past with with this Toy Drive and unbelievable turn out for these kids and families in need!! Its time to clean up the Cars, Trucks, and Bikes for ONE last event of the Season!

This all started a few years ago when http://www.CTSUBARU.com and Swift Motorsports decided to combine our Toy Drives to make one large Donation Location. Well Before we knew it we also had help of http://www.NASIOC.com , http://www.EvolutionM.net , http://www.Netuners.com , http://www.TunerNetwork.com , http://www.OceanStateDubs.com , http://www.VWVortex.com , http://www.Fourtitude.com , http://www.SRTForums.com , The United States Marine Corps. , The United States Navy, as well as many others!!!!

Long story short your donations made for one of the LARGEST single Toys for Tots Donation Pick ups they had seen from one location including the Malls! Working as a TEAM of enthusiasts, we had all managed to spread the word, pull in favors from far and wide, and most importantly come together as one to support this fantastic cause! We had amassed over $600 in Monetary donations and over 600 Toys for Children and Families in Need, all of this was accomplished in ONE DAY! The Marines and Navy could not Believe what they had witnessed. Nor could the several media outlets who had attended. This event also helps our community show its big heart as we may not always be spotlighted in the media that way.

This was SO important because Toys for Tots had actually received almost record LOW donations for last year! Our Community made an incredible impact in the lives of hundreds of families for no other reason than just doing the right thing. Now the problem. We all know the economy is in bad shape. We ALL feel the pinch. No one knows that more than these families in need. Toys for Tots and these kids now need our help MORE THAN EVER. All we ask that you bring in 1 New unwrapped toy. The largest age range toys are needed for is 8-16 year olds. Anyone who donates a toy will be offered discounts on any purchase or future service if scheduled that day. We have been speaking with several possible surprise guests...but we don't want to say too much until we get closer... ;-)

Be sure to come out and enjoy a great day with the Family in a VERY Family Friendly atmosphere! Come out and check out the cars and help a child at the same time! We always have Great Food thanks to donations made by folks attending.

If you or a family member wish to make something or purchase something and bring it to share PLEASE don't hesitate!

A few quick and inexpensive suggestions for donations. Several Stores including Walmart have Budget minded Toy Packages that are a pretty good bang for the Buck. Coloring books, Crayons, Colored Pencils, and so on, are often great, and inexpensive gifts that are overlooked. Some smaller stores might even offer discounts or price matching for Toys for Tots. Some Larger ones might as well, i worked with Norwich walmart last year. Don't hesitate to ask them!!
