i am considering doing this, what paint did you use....was it paint in spray can, or did you get it done professionaly. Pictures of the bumper far away and close up would be helpful.*****also what paint color do you recomend for my red lancer, black, or charcoal grey.

I very carefully masked and sanded the center section. After the prep work was completed I used Duplicolor flat black bumper spraypaint(looks more like a satin black) in 3 light - medium coats to paint the center section, faux tow hook anchor, and grill bezel. Looks good and it has taken a beating in the freeway through a locust storm and still look like when I painted it. I will post picks when I get home.

I have a GG so the flat black looks great. But on a RR I may almost sway towards the gunmetal gray.

Try vinyl first, its inexpensive and if you mess up, you can always remove, start over, then paint it...my $.02

If you are interested in vinyl overlays, Ralliart will be coming out with one. Just giving you a few more options.

$60?! Is that the one from ebay? If so, sorry to say but I do think that's a rip off. You can save yourself a lot of money by just getting vinyl at a local sticker shop or office supply store

you know what i did for a while? i use temporary paint you get at autozone or pepboys. its actually call temporary bumper protector. it holds up pretty well just dont brush it up against anything. reason why i did it that way was to see if i really want to do it but i dicide to wait and see if RRM comes out with a CF middle cover.
