The Stock Evo 9's had aluminum light-weight hoods. Will the 10's have them as well? I picked up my buddy's hood and wow that thing was light. That'd be a nice alternative to those who didnt want fiberglass or carbon fiber. And im assuming the 10's will bolt right up to our model. can someone confirm this too?

That'd be very sweet if they made it.

a company is already selling stock alluminun hoods from the 10? That's perfect. do they bolt right up to our set up? i honestly don't see why not but hey, never know....

Yea, if your talking about the body-kit.com Evo X conversion, that OEM aluminum hood is $800, and thats unpainted. A little pricey. Maybe that ill go down after the Evo X come out next year, who knows. But for now, going for a Fiberglass hood would be the cheaper thing to do.

Personally I do not believe that a stock evo x hood will fit perfectly to our car. Doesnt the front nose of an evo x stick out a bit further than ours near the hood latch? Maybe I am not looking at the pictures close enough.

That's kinda why im thinking VIS said that in a "couple months" they'd be working on a Evo X-Style vented hood. Im thinking it's because even THEY aren't sure if a Evo hood will just bolt right up to our lancers.

And F that paying 800 bucks for the evo x unpainted hood. Jeebus christ
