    Hi,

I wear glasses and my night vision was never good. Where I live, it takes about 15 mins untill there is an actual street light, so basically every morning I drive in pitch black.

My sister gave me a gift certificate to Autozone for Christmas, but, after looking thru the store I didnt really find anything I particualy wanted. So I decided to get the brightest non-HID bulbs that I could afford using the gift certificate. I was able to buy the low-beam and high-beam sets of the Silverstars without spending a dime of my own money.

So for anyone considering picking up a set, I decided to post some pics and junk so you can check it out.

Here are some side-by-side comparision pics. (low beam only)

And here is a two quick videos I took of me driving around the corner from my house. I split the screen and spliced them together so you can watch both at the same time... its not that good, its only the second time I'm using this Pinnacle Studio Plus.... but you get the idea.

Well, they had the twin packs ( 2 bulbs in each pack). Each twin pack
(low + high) were on sale for $34.99 , So it was $74.17 after taxes.

You could prob find em cheaper from another store or online, but my sis gave me that $75 gift certificate to RicerWorld... er I mean Autozone, lol.

The Sylvania Silverstar Ultras are supposed to be even brighter, but those were like $49.99 each twin pack. I didnt want to spend any money, so I just bought what I could with the gift certificate.

The Cool Blue ones were a couple of dollars cheaper then the Silverstars, but they wernt as bright.

so i was thinking about doing this same thing soon, do you like the increase in brightness you got or could it be better?

    Hi,

There is deffinitly an increase in brightness, and the light is now a very bright white, instead of the yelloish glow from the regular hologens.

Having said that, its not an "OMG this is SooOOo much brighter" upgrade. If I was willing to spend the extra cash, the Silverstar Ultras would prob be the way to go, since they are a bit brighter on the scale.

But if I were you, I would ask AutoMoGlow in thier forum section, they are an official sponser of this site and they would be able to get you the best bulbs , at the best price, for what your looking for.

The only reason I didnt go thru them was that I had the gift certificate.

All-in-all, Im happy with them, drove to work this morning and there was a noticable difference.
