If I swap out the currently muffler I have (which is welded on no flanges) And want to get a bolt-on muffler will it affect the vehicles piping in any way? Someone told me that the metal will become weakened because it has been welded on directly. Any information regarding this would be helpful  Thanks.

They just weld on a new flange. People have been doing it for years. Never heard of it "weakening" the metal.

right now I don't have any flange just stock pipe-welded to custom pipe-welded to muffler. So if I want to swap my muffler for another one or to revert back to stock I would have to get the aftermarket muffler cut-off and have them weld back on the flange to make it bolt-onable

    +1 I don't see any problem either.

Any exhaust shop sells just the flange. You can have them add it. When you had you muffler added, you should have told them you wanted to retain the flange. They would have either kept the stock one on or welded a new one in.
