i couldnt find an "other cars" thread so im putting this here, hope its ok. this is the build thread for my supra that i am finally trying to resurrect. right now i have an 87 turbo shell, and an 88 turbo engine and trans is a frame damaged body. my goal is to swap the engine and trans into the 87 and then once that is done buy the performance parts i need pushing the car close to 500 hp at about 14 psi on pump gas, those are my goals. its going to take a long time and a lot of money but i think when its done it will be completely worth every penny, every tear, and every drop of blood. let me know what you guys think. these r the only pics i have for now.
External damage comes last. Squirrel love your engine bay. And WTF is up with the carpet armrest? lol The only thing external that the law would have a problem with is the hood not being secure. Just remove it. Here in VA it is not required to have a hood.
Looks good. I like that body style Supra a lot actually. Everyone always likes the newer ones, with all the curves and rounded and such. But, for some reason this one just really tickles my fancy. Are those cups in the shifter hole? Lol. Hopefully everything goes well for you, and you don't run across any major problems. Good luck with the build.
well the hood is gonna get replaced with a carbon fiber one after awhile, and yea the body is gonna come last, im gonna swap the engine and transmission first and the get the performance parts and install those, power then looks is the way its gonna go. and those are potted plants lol everyone keeps asking me wut was i drinking lol. and im hoping to get it done within the next 3 years depending on financial issues and stuff. if i can go on a deployment or 2 here soon i will be able to finish it a whole lot sooner than expected. and yea i love the mkIV supra cause of its ability to have some serious power with simple bolt ons but the mkIII is a sleek body style and plus being able to take down 2008 and 2009 cars with a 20+ year old car is the greatest thing ever lol
