i have an 02 lancer es trying to hook it up everyone tells me to just throw inan evo motor but i seem to believe theres something else i could do then just a swap to my same stock motor
Welcome to LT. I am also new to the forum, but I am a veteran to Modding imports and Euros. I know on other forums the best way to get info is sometimes just to use the search tool. Some members might be rude and tell you to STOP effin' asking. But considering I went thru the same thing, I figured I was share some modder hospitality. So yeah, basically the search tool is your best friend. off the top of my head some things you can do with your stock motor, CAI (cold air intake) exhaust headers various chips lightwieght pully new camshafts those are all things that add some power and response that are not rediculously expensive. if you want to go all out, there are turbo kits that you can buy, but I would be advised to build your engine first, i.e. new pistons and internals depending on how much power you want. if you wanted a low amount of boost from a turbo, say 5-7 psi, i think you should be fine with stock internals but I am not sure. thats where the search feature comes in handy.
