    seems like a lot of work for a little bit of more air possibly lol.
    but if ur bored and wanna do something to the car for cheap why not :)

    You most likely wont even need the mesh. As the filter blocks all the big stuff anyway. You can do it. Im not too sure of the gains. It will bring in cooler air though.

    lol that wont take more then 15 min if that the only thing i got to for is wait for glue to dry lol.

    More air flow is always good but honestly you are not going get really any noticeable gains. But hey its nice project.

    I remember this old vid, if your using the stock intake i am guessing there shouldn't be any hp gain cause you will still be getting the same amount of air going in to the engine thanks to that first half of the intake with the funnel, i say go with no mesh, save an extra 5 or so minutes lol. Here is my stupid question about the mesh project, by doing this will it actually void your warranty? Also any 1 remember that singapore mesh cover that redirect 100% of the air for stock intake? If hyperlite662 have something like that wouldn't he feel some improvement since all the air are force in to 1 direction instead of spreading around after going through the mesh?
    I got a suggestion for Lancertuner, you guys should make and sell that mesh cover for lancer.
