Shocks + Lowering Springs?

I'm planning to lower my car for better looks. I do not want a solid stiff ride as I have no plans to do any thing that needs $1k+ suspension work.

Base information to start, this will be going on a 2008 Wicked White GTS Lancer and I live in CA. I have multiple plans for the car over the course of 6-12mo (depends how finances go). First thing I want to do is lower the car and not have to worry about killing the stock shocks/struts and emptying my wallet. I also don't want it to be plainly obvious to end up getting tickets left and right.

What I do want to know is what shock/struts should I look into purchasing along with some lowering springs? The springs I have been looking at are the RRM Grip v2 and the Eibach Pro/Sportline (I would do sportline if the ride isn't hard as a rock)

I've done searches and read reviews on the springs which is why I have the list I do. I never saw any confirmation on how hard the ride feels on the sportlines.

Any confirmed info, suggestions, opinions, comments, guidance, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

I can't say about the Lancer, but the buddy's mustang that I built... the sportlines have a fairly decent ride. It is rougher than stock, but nothing that will shove your spine through the bottom of the seat.
