It does look a little cheap and tall.
It would just make the shift tavel a little longer on you.

I have an RTM knob with the Mitsu logo etched in the top. Its weighted, shorter, and a direct replacement (screws directly on). Contact Ziggy at RTM.

When it comes to shift knobs you pay for quality and craftsmanship. You pay PepBoys/Wal Mart price, you get PepBoys/Wal Mart crappy quality. All of theirs are installed with set screws and can wiggle loose all the time. You want a shift knob that screws directly on. RTMs does this and you can get what ever you want etched on the top.

I paid $60 shipped. Ziggy is the owner of the business. I'll see if I can't find the pics of my shift knob.

Ok tuners, I hooked up with a company that helped me with my previous project and got them involved in the Lancer market. The company is RTM Racing and they make some of if not the best shift knobs. Period. I will never buy a shift knob from anyone else.

Anyways, they offer several different options. Just go to the website and call Ziggy (yes thats his real name) or email him. This is a solid stainless steel direct screw on shift knob. And when I say solid, I mean solid. It weighted in at 1.5 lbs (heavier than stock). So it has a good weighted feel and throw. It also sits lower than the stock shifter.

If you noticed they have etched/embrosed it with the Mitsu logo. Or he can custom something for you.

The best thing, is that its ONLY $48 + $10 s/h. So for $58 its to your door. Cheaper than the other one out there currently and looks way better. And he does take Paypal.

So contact Ziggy at RTM Racing.

i suggest get a knob that DOESNT FADE OR SCRATCH...

I got a netami shift knob from pepboys...$30...it needs a little fitting but that thing is scratch-proof and fade-proof because of its andonized paint material...ive had mine for about a year now and i can say that its worth it to the penny...and the color also match my interior...
