^ solenoids aka 'door poppers.' Press a button on a remote similar to an alarm remote and the door 'pops' open. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8NZsZfi8y4
here's a photoshop of my car with shaved doors to give you guys an idea, not the best but it helps . Looks pretty nice in my opinion. before: after:
i think it comes with something to open it up in case that does happen...it does look pretty good on the black car. ill find out more details later, and ill post the information...thanks for the photoshop pic
looks aight... but not very practical i think.... i dont feel like getting into my car through the backseat thank u very much lol
its definitely unique and different. But not practical because when you park next to someone and then pop it open...boom your door is gonna hit there car. According to youtube link video.
I know a kid that has poppers on his truck. he said those things were a pain in the ass in the winter cause in bad snow fall the doors would fail to pop open with all the raining ice hail and stuff. I personally think it looks sick...looks like en expensive mod especially the body shop work.
Not all doors swing open like that, he had it rigged that way I'm sure. Most of them just pop open enough to get your fingers in to open the door. Also, not practical at all for a DD, mostly a show car mod. I had a friend of mine with it on their Mustang and they had nothing but problems with it. Always had to use the trunk method haha. Also: When the remote dies or any other issue of that happens, usually they install a button hidden somewhere under the car to pop the doors open. Not the safest thing to have because anyone can find the button and get in your car at any time...
Have any of you ever been introduced to the minitruckin world? www.thorbeckebrothers.com www.suicidedoors.com same site but dont know if I spelt the first one right If ur remote dies you have a backup emergency switch hidden under the fender, bumper or where ever you want to put it anything looks good clean shaven
