hi i know that someone has written it in an other thread bit i cant find it now. what is the difference between the FED and the PZEV header??
the pzev header is longer and has a O2 sensor bung so you can install the 3rd O2 sensors that pzev lancers have that fed lancers don't.
thanks for the info. i see, you have the header, the pulley and the injen CAI. did you install these parts step by step, or all at the same time? what do you think brings the most noticeable performance??
I still have not recieved my headers, i should em by friday. But out of the piggy back, pully, intake and exhaust it goes in this order intake pully exhaust piggy
can anyone who has a PZEV Lancer please post a picture of the exhaust piping going down from the header? I´m nor sure which one i must take. In a forum a read that if i have to cats i had to take the PVEZ header but why? i the PZEV header is the hole for the air sensor but in my header is no sensor so i´m very confused. please help my
You have to go by the plate on the car. Most customers do not know if they have a FED or PZEV car. The easiest way to tell is by opening the front passenger door. On the body of the car, there is an ID plate that includes model code and color code among other things. The model codes for the Lancer per the service manual are as follows; Model Code (last 2 digits) CY4AS****2M – FED CY4AS****3M – Canada (Uses FED Header) CY4AS****7M – PZEV
Where are you from? If you do have a PZEV car and want the header make me an offer in the for sale section. It will be cheaper then going to rrm!
I believe that there was another aussie on here who said that his car is FED spec. If you still have the window sticker (sales sheet) it should say so in the top right hand corner of it.
Today i´ve got a e-mail from RRM. Brain said that the FED- header will fit. So I´ll order it an monday. I hope just it is the money worth!
