Glad to hear you're ok. How bad's the damage? Aftermarket will probably be cheaper than OEM, so you might want to start looking and comparing prices and such.

Normally, you get a couple estimates from body shops...then the insurance company tallys up the damage and cuts a check for OEM parts. Most body shops will let you use aftermarket parts, as long as they get shipped to the body shop. All you can do is see what your insurance says.

^ exactly what i was thinking. so take a look at the LED tails or Ralliart ones (Ralliarts better fyi :D) and options for other damaged parts.

Nope I got in a wreck not too long ago and they just cut me a check for what my one shop said. I didn't have to get price quotes but they DID allow aftermarket parts .. also if you have the money to spare on insurance each month IF you do get aftermarket parts see how much it is to insure those parts. For my fenders it cost me an extra 100 each year for aftermarkets on the entire car .. might not work with all insurance companies though.

.. hope everything works out for you too.

It's the same for me. But, I opened it in a new tab and it worked. And ouch. That's pretty bad.
Edit: They're both the same picture, so I only fixed one. I just linked the actual picture from the photobucket sidebar thingy.

if i take my car to the dealership collision shop would they let me get aftermarket parts? or would they install after market parts? how about RA parts? i'm trying to decide where to take my car dealership shop or to just those small body shops?

^True. I don't think the dealership would install aftermarket parts, but you never know. They'll probably do anything for money these days.

what's a good website to buy aftermarket parts? how long does it take to ship it? or is therea site where i can look at OEM body parts so i can have an idea on how much it cost between OEM and aftermarket parts?

As far as aftermarket parts goes, I think for the new Lancers there's only a few sites. RoadRaceMotorsports, I think HiPowerMotorsports has some parts for ya'll, but I'm not sure about it. And, you can just go Google search it.
