I recently bought a RRM axle-back exhaust system and installed on my 2008 GTS. My first impression was great....loved the way it sounded at idle and at low rpm's. However, once the muffler got warm, it became louder. I can handle the sound at low rpms, but once it gets between 3500 and 4000 its way too loud for my taste. I have removed the system and re-installed my factory (much heavier) muffler. Now my question is: has anyone removed the resonator and left the factory muffler and acheived a better sound? I am looking for a nice growl, but not resonance thru the cabin. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
