right so i picked up my 08 lancer off the lot last week, and i noticed that not only did they do a sub-par job washing the car... but they didnt grease any of the door locks or trunk/hood latches. not to mention the pdi sticker on my dash wasn't signed. oh and to top it off only 1 third tank of gas. :? now correct me if im wrong but doesnt mitsubishi's pdi include things like greasing of parts? (which is my biggest greivence) they said before i picked it up that their detailer was no longer with them.. but i never knew it would mean this. What condition was your Lancer in on pickup?
When i picked up mine. They gve me a full tank of gas. Scotch guarded the interior for free. Gave me two ball caps, two key chains. It still had water droplets on her when she came around. Mind you I had the first one on the road in Halifax. So thats my pick up story.
My car came signed, half a tank of gas (12 kms on the engine lol), rust-proofed, free tinted windows, Mitsu keychain. ball cap (I gave to my grandpa) and very clean!
At Garcia Mitsu here in NM it's SOP to do a full detail and fill the tank with gas for every newcar sold
my car was a little dirty...but that was cool with me cause I was able to give her her first car wash. I'm pretty anal about washing my car. I can't stand water spots and half-assed jobs
full tank of gas, supremely detailed (had to wait 4 hours to drive because they forgot to do it the days before) :? and over 200 mother F#@$*#* miles on the dash because the traded cars from a dealer in another state... and drove it..... But that is sad about the non greased parts, seems like that would be factory.... just give mitsu a call, tell them your mad, or write a 4 page letter like i did because warranted parts still are not fixed due to idiots as managers in the service department
Seems like things that should have been taken care of. When I got my first Galant, 4 miles on the odometer, washed, full tank of gas, everything worked and had grease like its supposed to. Just ask if they can grease the hinges and that you thought the car was supposed to come with a full tank of gas. I'd guess if you just ask politely they be happy to do it, just make sure you mention the state of the car to a sales or general manager.
I got a full tank of gas, and they said they washed the car and cleaned the interior but it was a half@ass job.
My was detailed beautifully, with a 1/4 tank cant complaint.. my car has every lil option that a DE can have from the manufacturer (like the mudflaps and those plates that sat lancer on the door, etc)
Mine was taken straight from the showroom floor. Washed and had 9 miles on the odometer and a full tank of gas.
well datin the gm's daughter and my buddy was the manager of the detail shop...so... as full as a gas tank can get and great job on wash. 24 miles on it (from me while test driving) 5 miles from the begining.
Yea same here they didnt grease anything.. so when ever i close any of the doors u actually have to slam them a little so they can close. the car was partly dusty. no gas at all they just gave me like a $25 voucher. and once i got home the next day i noticed a chip on the door. and told them about it they said it must of happend when i took it home. :x sucks.
soo in regards to the greasing, do you think id be able to get it done from the dealership from which it came? i mean if its supposed to be factory then wtf! guess that does explain the door shutting problems.
