Im in work right now, and at the end of the day I was going to istall the pully.

    Just a quick question....

When you turned the tention pully to loosen the belt... where did you place the belt to rest it... in front of the pully, or in back of the pully?

I dont want to put it in a plce where the belt will fall off the remaining pullies... so I was thinking placing it behind, so I wouldnt pull it out to much. But then I was thinking it may get pinched back there??

Also, I read somewhere that you lossen the tention pully from the engine bay and not under the car?? I was thinking of just reaching up from underneath to turn the tention pully then just removing the belt off the crankshaft pully.

Just trying to make sure everything goes smoothly.. hence the questions.

Answers would be greatly appreciated !

You can loosen the tensioner pulley from underneath the car once you remove the passenger side wheel and plastic splash guards. That is how I was able to do it. As far as resting the belt somewhere, I really don't remember too well what I did. It would probably be a good idea to make a sketch of the belt routing around the pulleys before you take the belt off. Good luck!

take some tape and just secure it to the top pulleys u can reach and then release the tension pulley and just remove the belt off the crank pulley and let it rest. It shouldnt be in the way. I had no problems what so ever.

I was just getting ready to suggest using painters tape to hold it on the other pullys and tensioners.

    Great minds think a-like....
