I am beliving that my powersteering is failing me, when ever i am at a full stop, the power steering will not work but as soon as i rev the motor that steering will will spill like if the car was in the air but if i let go of the gas shit gets stiffer then my D***! its pissing me off!

I will be scheduling a appoitment for this saturday to go to the dealer and get it replaced under warrenty, can't wait to hear them bitch about my headers and all my other shit.

If you are really worried about the power steering, remove your mods. They are going to take note of that and blame it on you. Just a word of advice.

yeah, especially that piggy back and pulley. they'll have a feild day. i got close to having to buy a new ECU when they saw i had an amp and subs hooked up. i got very lucky that a factory rep stopped by the dealership that day and confirmed that what i had was a known problem. the dealer was trying to blame my amp.

i will kick their ass if they try to blame my intake or shit for a power steering faliure!

my piggy and ecu eliminator are well hiddent and non dectectible unless you actually take the ecu out of the engine bay. looks stock.

Haha, yeah, wouldn't surprise me if they tried to blame the intake for the power steering failure. I would realllllly hope not. But you never know. It's a shame that you can't do aftermarket, tested parts without them throwing it in your face. Done propery, I believe they usually are stronger and longer lasting than stock crap.

this is totally true...i had some problems with my trans while my car right after i started intstalling bolt ons after the break in. the dealer first said that they would not cover any repairs because the vehicle had been modified, but then i hand delivered a copy of the Magnuson-moss Act...the next day i got a call telling me that they would fix my problem...and the warranty would cover it.

yea they'll do just about anything to get that $$$. Even if that means fooling unknowing customers.

yeah, but you have to ask yourself... if your dealer is being stubborn about it, do you want to fight it? it can take days or weeks of arbitration where they have to try and prove your mod is the problem with the car. meanwhile your car is sitting there undrivable and your missing work (if you can't afford a rental). so you will probably win in the end, but how much time have you lost? me personally i would fight to the bitter end in order to mod my car the way i want, but then i can afford a rental car if i need it, or have access to a 2nd vehicle.

Hey I also noticed my car makes a noise when I have it in nuetral and the rpms get between 750-1000. The only thing I could figure is that it was coming from the power steering pump pulley or near it, but I have had that noise now for about 7000 miles and I havent had a problem with steering. The noise isnt loud or anything, I just dont remember hearing it before then.
I noticed it some time right after me hitting some back country curves pretty hard. I remember the dsm's having some sort of similiar problem after hard cornering, something about the pump not getting power steering liquid thus burning the pump up.

If your dealer tries to void your warranty because of mods, get it in writing with the managers signature and send it to me. That lawsuit will pay for a turbo :D

they flashed my ecu with the latest firmware, they said my ecu was way outdated. Car actually to the butt dyno felt smoother and easier to shift. BUT!!! power steering is still dead, so i have to bring it in after the holidays so they can inpsect the pump and other steering shit. so another week guys.

left every single mod i have on, they said they loved how my car performed vs the 2.4l and the 2l. So that aswell made my day :)

I knoe they ripped my car on the highway on the test drive to see if the pumped worked.
