.... i think there is a tutorial on here somewhere.... but if you have never changed oil in a car before you might want to have someone that knows how to help you with it.... We all have to start somewhere. But you need to feel confident in your abilities first.

    EDIT *************************************

    Found it on PL

    1. Go shopping; 5w20 and an oil filter (you can tell the brands I chose)

    2. Manual or auto, you want to pull the e-brake. It's a FWD car, so you want those rear wheels locked so you don't get killed.

    3. If you have a floorjack, you want to raise the car from the front middle. The main crossmember is a perfect choice. If you're using the car's minijack, just put it at the jack points behind each front wheel (check the manual if you don't know where that is).

    4. Time to keep the car in the air. Hopefully you have a pair of jackstands. If not, do what you gotta do.

    5. OK, finally on to the dirty work. Crawl under the car with a 17mm wrench and a drain pan. Remove the stock bolt and let it drain. Grab a beer, because this is going to take a while. When it finally stops coming out, put the bolt back in and gently tighten it. Don't overdo this. (Torque spec unknown at the moment; will update when I find out.)

    6. And oil filter wrench would be good, but I ended up just using a huge pair of pliers. In any case, just get this sucker off however you can. Keep the pan under it, because oil WILL drip out.

    7. Now you want to install your new filter. Put a little bit of oil on it's rubber gasket (so it doesn't seize on the car). Just screw it on. Again, don't overdo it; 3,000 miles is plenty of time for it to tighten up (and it will).

    8. OK, you're done under the car. You can let it down now.
(Do you really need a picture for this?)

    9. Time to add some oil. Open the oil cap (on top of the motor) and gently pour in 4.2 qts. of oil.

    10. Give the oil time to settle and then check the yellow dipstick to make sure you didn't over/under fill it.

    11. Repeat about 3,000 miles later.

Oi changes are a breeze, jack your car up, pull the oil plug and let it drain out completely. Replace the oil filter, whick is that big cylindrical thing on the bottom and refill the engine will oil. Check the forums and your manual for how much oil to add. Piece of cake

@ AeJarrotto... reading ur guide, u've been doing ur oil changes wrong all this time apparently... u should take out the oil filter while you have the oil pan (or w/e it's called) still open... this is to remove more oil, it helps by basically opening another air way... think of it like this, take a bottle of water, now which way will it flow more smoothly, if u tilted it pouring it out, or by just flipping it upside down? the answer is tilting it cuz of the way the air flows ;)... and to add to ur guide, it's not necessary but helps to make sure you take out the most oil u can... is to warm up ur car a little bit, this will make the oil thinner and come out easier :)... just try not to get oil on u, cuz it'll burn like a bitch o_O... doesn't have to be hot, but it's good to have it warm at least...

that is not my guide. I got it from Project Lancer as i posted, credit given to blacksheep. Plus i change my oil at my uncles mechanic shop on the lift and evacuate the system of all oil. i have did it like 4 times on the lancer and about 30 on the Exploder haha. Thanks for your input too though! I'm pretty sure i know what im doing lol. Plus i remove the oil filter which is lower and will allow any excess oil to escape. Its more about changing your oil (and Filter... even if it is K&N haha....) often. Every 3k for me. If i have been doing it wrong then so has my uncle with 30 yrs of experience  ....

yeah and i have been burnt by hot fourwheeler oil to many times not to be careful
