The S.Drive's are brand new design this year (2008). Not to mention if it isn't in the manufacturer's catalog it is safe to say the tire is at least a few years old. BUT that doesn't mean the tire is no good. What matters is where the tire was kept during its storage. If it was in a climate controlled warehouse and the bead is intact and rubber hasn't hardened than you are ok. Though I would recommend not buying tires more than 12-18 months old. And the long age range ONLY because some tire sizes are not produced in huge production runs (1,000,000 plus), and some are uncommon sizes (like 225/35-18) and don't sell that much to warrant major or running productions of that size or type of tire. Summary: Just because the tire is 5yrs old doesn't mean it is no good, though I would not buy it personally.
