my friend told me that the reason the Evo has more HP than the RA is cause the Evo has a bigger turbo. How much truth is in this?
UMMM that is a given. YES. Plus it is tuned different, and the power is put too the ground different.

there are no details out on the size of the ra turbo, what i do know is that it is tuned different along with smaller lift camshafts, i dont know about turbo size on the ra yet
oh yeah, the same size. i was wondering this cause couldn't a Lancer owner put a similar size turbo into their car to get similar gains? With proper internal modifications of course
If I remember correctly the RA is also going to be single scroll while the X is still twin scroll....
you made his head heart with scrolls lol you also have to take in consideration the awd and tricks the evo has
In the official release video, the only things the guy mentions is the single scroll turbo , different cam shaft profile, and smaller intercooler.... i think this is going to pull down the evoX's market down so bad.. cause after all, we are tuners, and the turbo, cam shafts and intercooler were gonna be replaced anyways the only thing people are whining is about the "not real" 6 speed (no clutch and stick shift) but the reality is that the tranny is strong as hell and i think its gonna be faster than the manual 6 speed (not like the CVT joke :lol: ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KLHCsEuxw8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGV5PmLJZyk
Yeah but in case of any problem the whole tranny needs to be replaced (same thing with the cvt) and that sucks
