The Goderator asked me to share this info with you guys... please take it wisely and learn from it please... For those that dont know, Brian (btcool27) is a force induction expert... for more on his background, look for his info in projectlancer... Here is more information on you guys that want it easy and are crazy for turbo... PLEASE DO RESEARCH... whenever you blow up your engine because you didnt do research, either mitsubishi ( it has been already proven that mitsu wasnt releasing a turbo) or whoever sold you the kit, NOBODY will pay for a new car/engine... and there you will be with an empty bank account and a blown engine.... it takes time, but its the best thing you will do for yourself and your car... here is more info on it: thanx Brian!!! (from PL) MORE INFO this original thread is HERE this was originated from THIS THREAD <<<< you HAVE to read the whole thing if you really want to learn about forced induction... BOTTOM LINE IS PLEASE RESEARCH... turbo is not just slapping a turbo that a company said they made research on and its the best thing... this is not bashing any company... we are proud of the companies that are breaking a sweat for you... but their work is to do R&D for us and develop the turbo, our job is to do research and see if thats the best thing for us... at the end of the day, its your fault if you didn't do your homework and did ENOUGH research and you end up with a broken kit and/or car... no company is going to accept responsibility or warrant your irresponsibility....
haha so funny these 16 yr old kids grown up playing video games where you can just slap turbo on any car and you're ready to go ;p thanks for clearing that up for some people.
im not talking about why i wrote here, im talking about the links.. specially the second one... if you didint read the whole thing, you are missing out on a lot
:? It should be a given that anyone who is going to boost should do there own research and find out what will work in the set up and final goal you are after. Including but not limited to parts or companies you are using. Just taking information from someone and running with it can prove fatal to your motor. I am getting a little tired of these dooms day messages everyone has for the 4B11....
that is try J.. but you know that there is a lot of people that do not do enough research nad just play by ear, and then they blame the "crappy kit" or company because they blew their engine.... i believe that the 4b11 has an awesome potential, specially when the evo internals should be bolt on.... i am not worried about that, im just woried about the people that are exited about the turbo kits coming out and dont even know about this
SURE put me on blast!!! JK...I agree with ektor on this subject. There is a lot of "goings on" besides bolting it, which some do not really know. This isnt old news. Just do research before the next person gets another hard-on when greddy or hks or xs engineering creates another turbo kit for the 4B11. If you have the means then go for it. Unfortunately this is how the civic started when people get the bug to boost the little b16 or b18 or k20.
