I have the DE, already w. SRI and rims, system etc. unfortunately it didnt come with a MIVEC cover and it looks pretty bunk. anyone have any ideas where i could get one? does the dealerships sell them? I hate purchasing ANYTHING from dealerships except the car itself... cheers...any advice will help.
^agree Can you post a pic of the cover without the "mivec" on it? If you replace it, can I get that from you? Thanks.
Now and days, most car trims, even the bare bones ones like the DE (not harm or ill will intended) come with plastic guards. It has become more of a standard than an option as in yesteryear. I would personally take it back to the dealership it was purchased from and ask what gives. To me, it sounds like you got shanked by some mechanic numb nut who wasn't paying attention to anything when he was doing the final inspection after receiving the vehicle from transport. Bill
no harm taken. i already had rims and a killer system so why spend another $6000 for that an a sunroof? at least for me...anyways, thats a good idea. i actually know the guy who sold me the car pretty well so that shouldnt be a problem. thanks for the idea!
Only the ES and GTS trims include a engine cover, the quote below was taken from the 08 lancer Brochure "Lancer ES includes all DE standard features plus: engine cover; 4-wheel disc brakes" ..... etc But i would still call a dealer and see how much one retails for, or wait for an aftermarket one.
