Mitsubishi Turbo?

    I was reading on Evom came across this.

    Well my freinds I have been reading on alot or these forums about the turbo. Well i wrote to mitsubishi and included alot of questions i wanted answered and got my wish on october 8. My topic was when the evo x comes out in march are you going to make the turbo application available for the lancer gts cvt. The man from mitsu wrote me back and said yes we will offer the application of the turbo and all the components and be warrantied. So i am going to wait for the warrantied turbo and the right turbo and all the neccesary equipment its gonna be worth it. So i hope you guys are gonna be happy come march cause i cant wait





    maybe some of you already read it but what do you guys think?

    I'll belive it when I see it. There has been way too many rumors about Mitsu coming out with a bolt on Turbo and no facts. Until I see some proof it's just a bunch of hype.

    If we get the dealership to put it on are gts that we already have do you think it will be warrantied also?

    Just get the RA. I mean it's already turbo'd and 235hp.

    has mitsubishi ever released a turbo for the reg lancers

    if not...why would they start now?

    well im not even planning on getting it seeing as its mitsubishi's cost will be crazyy

    Very true which i dont see why it wouldnt i dont think they would make a turbo to void peoples warranties i guess will see what they end up doing

    I asked the dealer a little while ago. They said if mitsu releases the turbo as a certified lancer accessory, which they might when the ralliart comes out, and you have it installed at a mitsubishi dealership then it will not void your warranty. However, the turbo itself will only be covered under the 12month/12,000 miles warranty.

    So you can get the turbo and not worry about your warranty, but if the turbo breaks after the 12/12 warranty your gonna have to pay to fix/replace it. Although i doubt the turbo will break, its not gonna be the most powerfull turbo.

    hm....interesting..I wish I could ask my dealer about all this stuff...but they are all dumbasses and don't noe sqat. I had the dealer call me up and ask me how I got around the scratching of the tints and the HID's DRL problem.

    Just guessing..I would think the factory turbo is gonna be mad money and a small limited turbo. With the 12 month/ 12000 mile warranty..isn't even worth it if its a huge amount of money and a small turbo.

    I was talking to someone at mitsubishi the other day and he told me that mitsubishi should be releasing the turbo kit for our lancers in a couple months. He also said that the total would be about 4k with install, parts, labor and warrenty included. The turbo kit is going to give you about 70hp.

    the way I am thinking about it now is that....they never did this with the older lancers...why would they start now. I think this whole factory aftermarket turbo is shens(bullshit).
