Mississippi River and Spillway pictures

    So, I went to see the MS River yesterday and the Bonnet Carre Spillway. Crazy how high the water is. The right side of the gates is usually all "dry" land. Not dry, but not flooded like it is now. Lots of pictures, so enjoy.

    ^ All this is usually dry land as well.

    It don't affect me at all, so it doesn't bother me. It was pretty awesome to see though.

    I heard the water dropped something like a foot and a half this weekend. Makin' progress!

    Not that I know of. It's still cresting last I heard. But, what do i know? I'm no riverologist.

    You might be right. That's just talk I heard around the spaces today.

    the use of riverlogist makes me wonder is that a real word haha. and/or a job title lol
