Whats up? Been on here a while, been on other forums a while. I never say anything on here, but Im Mark from Minnesota. Thought I'd say what up. Drive a 7g 03 lancer oz and here are some pix.
Yo. I like the car, a lot. Graphite Grey ftw. What'd you use to paint your reflectors on the front bumper, and also where did you get the fog lights? Or did it come with them?
Noticed you have leather seats and an evo 8 wing. Quick question. Do you have a 3rd brake light still and what did you do with the old one. I currently have mine in between the ceiling and the roof from my spoiler.
haha yea I've been here quite some time. I never log on though and never really say anything. Don't really know why so I decided it was time, I spend most of my time on evom and evomn. As far as the foglights go, a guy on evom did it and i copied him, I think his username is bovesk or something weird like that. Check the lancer forum and look at 02-03 show and shine. You'll see us rambling off about them. They are 2003 Honda Accord headlights, which took A LOT of modifying to fit but turned out great, with an h11 hid bulb replacing the stock ones. I think they are the BEST option since the lancer ones in the middle are absolutely retarded imo. Beware if you get them that you WILL need a new switch in the car and cut the old wiring off as far as the switches go.
No i do not have a 3rd brake light, I didn't bother at all and I haven't been hassled. Im honestly pretty surprised since I have no front plate and illegal tint. And no I don't have a short shifter, Ive been debatting getting one but Im probably gonna do an engine swap first with a 4g64 or getting a new car. There is just a carbon fiber shift knob that I wanted. I had ordered cf pedals as well but the shipper had them on back order.
oh sorry, i wasnt paying attention to what you wrote, lol, i looked at the first pic and it looked like a ny plate haha, my bad
They're pretty solid, I had to throw them in the over a little bit to mold them up to the headlights exact, but over all I think they look PERFECT and make the car look a ton more aggressive! The product was good and he sent from Japan I think? and it was actually pretty quick. Came faster then some of the other stuff I ordered, like a week.
What size are the stock OZ rims? 14s or 15s? I know they won't fit ES's, I'm just trying to get a feel for what 16s will look like. I'm looking at getting either 15 or 16s for my car. Did you paint the grill when you got it, or just left it the primered grayish color? I can't really tell.
i have 17s on my car n i think i cood of easily got away wit 18s...its very hard to find 16in rims i cant imagin ne1 making 15s
The stock oz rims are 15" rims I believe. I think they are okay, but I hate seeing so much tire, there needs to be more rim going on and less tire. I know 18s are do-able but from the sounds of stuff 17s are the best way to go, especially if you drop the car. If dropping the car isn't an intrest to you, get 18s, it'll be cheaper for your buck to go even number size rather than odd. As far as the grill goes, it came black, I painted it exact match thunder grey to match the car and I LOVE that thing.
It looks really good. I'm not sure when I'll lower it. I know I'd like to, but not sure as to when. I like smaller rims like 15s and 16s. I just think they look better and cleaner, on our cars anyway.
a lot of companies make 15s. mainly because a shit load of people put 15s on their hondas. my ozs are getting painted now. i think our cars look nice with 15s and lowered. and its hard to find 16. but when you do tires are normally really cheap for them. most cars come stock with 16s.
The best thing I've done for my car was taking the time to paint my rims. I couldn't be happier with how much it changed the overall look. I think I might go 17s when I drop just because a like a lot more rim than tire. There is too much rubber for pleasure in my eyes with the stock rims, and I like the idea of change once spring comes putting my "fun summer rims" on. The stock rims don't look bad though, just personal preference.
