i was wondering if anyone was having problems with their manual transmissions. i have a 2010 lancer and sometimes it will grind going from first to second gear and it has done it at high or low rpm shifts. its like the tranny locks up i got the clutch all the way to the floor and it wont go into second i usually have to go straight to third. the dealership says they havent had any complaints about it and of coarse it wont do it when they drive it. i was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. thanks.
2nd gear synchro in the trans. My R/A did it a month after I bought it. If you have been trying to force it into gear, expect to replace the shift fork also. If they don't cover it under warranty,get ready to pay about 1500 bucks to fix it.
I have had the same issue with my 03 lancer. I figured it was a problem not worth my fixing just because I know it will cost me an arm and a leg. etch etch
ya they said they had some problems with the older lancers but not the 8 gens. it should be warranty tho the car only has 10000 km on it i just need it to happens when they drive it now haha
