Lakebed practice

    So next weekend I will be in Nevada competing in a rallycross. So this weekend I decided I would go out and practice. Get a feel for what I can expect with the Lancer. Here are a few pics:

    That picture of my car dirty, is after about 10 minutes of driving :lol: Right now it is sitting in my garage and its extremely dirty. It looks like it should :D

    Cant wait for next weekend, I have the mechanics of driving the Lancer down so I should do well. I have some videos as well, but I need to edit out the camera setup crap before I post em.

    i resized the pics for you so its easy of 56k people and its alot easier to look at.


    man that looks really fun though. you should have told me i would have totally gone with you. thats something i really want to do

    i wanna go, let me just place my lancer on my private cargo jet and i be right over hahahhah..great pictures man, cant wait to see the vids

    i would say next weekend but your gone to the NV rally, maybe the weekend of the Lancer meet.

    Didnt you say your friend knew of an event on the 30th?

    This lakebed is in Apple Valley. You exit the 15 a few miles before Victorville and head east for about 15 miles. Its right off the road.

    If you go on google maps and type in SR 18 & Rabbit Springs Rd. It will go to the spot. I cant get a link for some reason :?

    Looks great Sub. Is that the same meet sponsored by evom? You gonna tow it up there or drive it.

    Well, I wish there were nice open forest areas like there are there :lol:

    The problem with CA is everything is about the environment so they arent very keen to having cars going around. The only place we have left is the desert. And even that can have problems at times.

    True enough, this weekend I will be driving up the blue ridge parkway... hopefully I'll be able to figure out this new digital camera and have some great pics for everyone :)

    Most likely with the camera you point the small circle side at the car and you click the button on the top right. You should hear a little *click* noise, and then you can look at the screen to see if the picture came out right. :D

    But yeah, take lots of pictures so we can see!

    yeah the dirty impreza meet might be nov 3 they keep changing it. I want to go before though

    Ok we can go the day of Sonic or the next day. Whatever would work better. If we did it after sonic we could do a small Lancer rallycross :D

    Are you kidding me? Two in one day....too bad I already got my hotel room :lol:

    That track is pretty nice though. I hear at times when they are at Mirage they get hassled by cops :?

    So are you gonna go to that one? We can have Lancers repping at two events :D

    i might, my friend is but i didnt know it was coming up so quick he told me like 10 min ago i think i have plans so i might not be able to go with him. :[

    if your really into this join this rally championship thing. i know a couple of guys in it. it shows you 4wd, 2wd, stock, modified

    you'd probally be in 2wd stock u can sign up for the next couple of races

    i know keith jackson in 4wd rally and 4wd stock i know paul olsen. their pretty cool guys. both of them are my co workers haha. they can help you out on rallying if you needed help

    Yeah I know about formula rally x, the problem with them is that half their events are in Nor Cal. :?

    I am gonna go to their So Cal events though. I dont associate with any club, I just plan to show up at all the events I can find as a non-member :lol:
