I got my stock 2.4 liter lancer engine and my friend has a dodge cummings truck, hes done with his stock air intake which is just for the hot air. Does anyone know if putting it on my lancer would damage the engine or anything? If i do mount it ill take pics.

as long as it fits then no it shouldnt damage it. but it also must use the sensor as well for your lancer.

The MAF fitment I'd say is definitely the most important part of swapping it. I doubt it would match up, but you never know.

Mass Air Flow sensor, I'm pretty sure. My understanding is that it kind of detects information of the air going into your intake and sends that information to the ECU which decides what to do.

hmmm, well since this "change" wouldnt really increase air flow all that much, maybe its not a problem. thx for the help
