I'm thinking of seibon evo x cf hood for next modification. I know it's really good brand and price of $450 on ebay just makes me wanna buy except the fact that shipping is $150 lol
But, I've heard some stories of decapitation in case of frontal collision. And I've seen some videos of some racing cars with cf hood that's opened at a speed of 100mph, and cover the whole windshield. Sometimes I do over 100mph so that's obviously what i'm really worried about. But I don't wanna put hood pins on my hood. Those are kinda ugly.
Does any of you heard story like these? Do you guys think cf hood can be danger?

as long as your hood is flush with your body you dont really need hood pins, and cf hoods are a lot stronger than fiberglass so it wont shatter in a crash it will just bend

Do what??? You need to check to make sure the hood has a metal latch. If it has a metal latch, then you dont need hood pins. Check out CVR Motorsports there like $525 shipped with the secret code.

I heard that's what makes problem. Stock metal hood will just bend at crumple points, but since cf hood is so strong, it might moves through windshield to driver's seat.. 8O

my friend has had a cf hood for over a year now with no hood pins or anything, just the stock latch, and he hasnt had any problems with it flying up on him, and ive seen him do over a 100 a couple of times, either he is really lucky, or you dont always need one, thats all im saying
