ipod hookup

    I went and bought the ipod cable hookup and when i took out the piece below the AC dials there was nothing behind there. Is it a painstaking ordeal to install the audio input needed to hook up the mp3 player.

    ummm... which lancer do you have??? Ive got an 09 gts, Theres RCA jacks where you're talking about.

    08 ES and same thing. Red and white jacks.

    If i recall correctly you might need to get at the back of the radio which means taking the dash 1/2 apart...

    the de does not have rca jacks in the back of the radio, unless they changed that between the 08 and 09, u will need to get a little set up for like 20 bucks at almost any car audio shops, im sure some one on here knows what im talking about, but i for got what they are called but they tie into the rear speaker wires and then provides you with some new rca jacks

    or you can buy one of the fm transmitters, but they're kind of a pain in the ass
