I need some help fellas, My lancer is my 1st ride.. im 18 yrs old I paid for the car all myself.. I'm thinking of trading it in in about 6-8 months.. heres my prob though.. I just got the tein lowering kit im about to install that, I got the pulley.. the SRI and I also got my tail lights smoked out and my windows tinted... if im going to trade it in should I not put any more money into my lancer? I want it to be fast and look good till I trade it in.. I can always convert it back to stock considering most mods are bolt on.. so what do i do? im really stuck and I need some advice from someone who has been through this before.. I love modding my car... on one hand I say to myself.. why put more money into it when im just gonna get rid of it.. and on the other hand I say, well I can mod it some more till I trade it in then convert it back to stock and sell the parts off... can anyone shed some light on what I should do?
If you want to mod it go for it, just know you will lose money on every mod you buy. Youll never sell it for close to what you bought it and installed it for
after buying more mods or just in general? you still have to pay for the mod parts to come off and stock back on (unless you do everything your self). But if you mod it MORE, youll have more to uninstall
what do you think I should do? I really want a manual car... my GTS is CVT...... im not gonna trade my lancer CVT for another lancer thats manual.. thats just stupid.. no point in starting payments all over for that.. I really want an EVO 9 though..
If you are trading it in, I would not put anymore mods on your current vehicle. Save that money towards the car you are going to get.
Personally, youll have a lot more fun modding this car to the point of equaling an Evo rather than buying an evo...thats partly why I stuck with this car
then ill keep modding it... and sell it as is... im not trading it in.. sorry for saying that.. i will sell it privately... do you think ill get more for it stock? or more for it if its modded... if its stock then the warranty is still good... even right now.. the warranty is still good.
ok then i will just install the springs.. gets HID's and yellow fogs and then be done with it till im ready to sell it... when the time comes ill convert it back to stock except for the HIDs and window tint.. everything else is bolt on.. and the exhaust is a simple welding job.
