So, I had to go to work real quick today to talk to my boss, my ex wanted to go to the store down the road so I just said he could drop me off and come back for me when he's done at the store. Well, me being the dumb-dumb that I am, got outta the car with my purse (which has my key) and went inside without even thinking about it. He takes off to the store. 10 mins later, my phone rings. I answer, he says "whatcha doin?" I say "Waiting for you, whats taking you so long??" he mumbled something then all I can hear is "Ya...you definitely have the key with you so I can't start your car" So I had to get someone from work to drive me down the road a few miles so he could get my car started. LOL So, note to all FAST Key users, don't be an idiot like me and let someone borrow your car without making sure you give them the key to it first.
its funny tho, i believe i read in the manual ure car is supposed to shutoff after a while if it doesnt have the key in it but it deff doesnt
that happened in my lexus, good thing she just dropped of some letters at the post office but she asked, "what was wrong with my car." I said, "what do you mean?" "The car kept on beeping all the way there" Soooooooooo
It's very rare that someone else drives my car by themselves so it's always in my purse. I just didn't think about it for some reason. Besides, usually the car beeps at me if the key isn't close enough but it didn't do it at all, thats why no one noticed until the car was shut off and wouldn't turn back on. Next time someone drives my car, I'll remember to leave the key with them
Lol the same thing happened to me a few months ago.. I dropped my husband off at work one morning but he had the FAST key in his pocket. I stopped at the gas station and when I tried starting the car, I was like "what the.." Then I realized my mistake. I had my friend come pick me up and take me back up to his work. What's funny is that the car won't stop beeping when the key is gone but I paid no attention to it that particular day.
