If this was posted earlier, I apologize if I missed it. I am toying with the idea of de-badging. What would be the best way to do it. I may keep the huge Mitsu symbol, but at least get rid of teh words Mitsubishi Lancer. Are they pinned into the trunk lid? or is ti an epoxy that I just need to heat. Also what should I expect the paint to look like underneath. I am not feeling the idea of re-painting anything seeing as the car is 3 weeks old. Please help with any info. I am sure some has done it or at least tried. Thanks a lot all. Tune away.

the old school guys use the hair dryer and a decent strength fishing line. You heat the area be careful not to apply it too long in any area. You then slide the fishing line behind that logo and work it across slowly. The residual glue is usually cleaned by a gunk remover from an auto parts store. Thats what ive read on this site I hope i didnt forget anything. good luck.

Yep that sounds about right. I removed my badges but left the mitsu symbol in the back as well. i used a regular hair dryer to heat up the surface and use thhis little plastic thing i got from a buddy. Its kinda like a wedge and wont scratch the paint.

Once you get the badges off, use some GOO GONE, you can get it at any automotive store in your area.

Use a soft towel and just contiue to work off the excess glue. When finished it looks awesome!! Paint behind decals is perfect

    GOOD LUCK

    exactly.

i did the same thing, except i did it on a warm day and din't use a hair dryer at all. Just used fishing line and sawed away at the glue (very carefully of course). Just pressed the excess glue off with my thumb. No scrathes at all.

Make sure the car's clean before you do this so you don't scratch it.

i just pulled the things off on a warm day and went to the car wash. pull slow to get all the sticky off.

IF YOU USE GOO GONE: Do not forget to put some wax over the area afterwards. The googone can eat through the clearcoat. Personally, I did it on a warm day and with dental floss (I'm not a fisherman hah), and I did not use goo gone, it just came off with rolling my fingers around over it.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot all of you.

I appreciate the timely replies. Thanks. I will try this on a warm day after washing the car. I will try to update to let you know how it worked out. Thanks again.

I actually just de-badged mine on Friday and I never heated it or anything and my car is two weeks old and I just used normal dental floss and you just work it behind them then you just peel the rest off very carefully and its as easy as that.

    Thanks for the info...

The info about debadging was right on point. Thanks a lot all of you. It looks fantastic and not a blemish. Looks like It was meant to be that way.
