Ok, i had a civic and the headlights were easy to install on those , all i had to do was twist the housing and out they come. Now, i got an 09 lancer gts... and i wanna get the hyper white bulbs in and a guy at an auto shop just peeked under the hood and looked at it and said the whole light housing has to come off to even get to this?? is this true. he pointed out to me some screws that need to be taken off to get the harness out of the housing and to get to that the whole housing has to be taken off. Now when i read the manual... it just says to twist it a certain way and it will come out... i havent really tried to force it, but the book says nothing about unscrewing nothing. Anyone have any idea? Thanks
Follow the Owner's Manual...there is no need to remove the actual lamp housing. All bulbs can be changed without removing the headlight.
i just changed my headlight bulbs on my lancer 08 ES with the sylvania Ultra white lights and it only took me 15 mins to change both bulbs, i think it's the same for your 09 gts, you just twist it then out they come
