Hello and welcome to another one of my HOW TOs :D

Today we are going to be changing the dome light. the dome light model: Festoon 31mm

AUTOMOGLOW can hook you up with them

*note: those who have a sunroof DO NOT have a dome light*

    1) first of all, taking the frost cover is real easy.... just take a flat head screwdriver and use the lil opening right behind the switch to pry it open.. you will have this after you pry it open:

    2) If you had it on like me (i did it during the night, i needed light  ) , the bulb WILL be EXTREMEY hot.... use some pliers or cloth to pull out the bulb gently... if not, it should be really easy to take it out with your bare fingers....

    3) after you take it out, if you got an LED like me, you need to put the bulb in the correct position for it to work... trial and error is your best shot, if you put it wrong, it wont melt down your car.. if you put it in and it doesnt work, just flip it around... if you just went with a NON-LED bulb, the position doenst matter.... you will have this after you are done (if you went with the LED) :

    4) after you have it in, just snap back the frost cover and you are done...

good info... yeah at first when I put mine in I was wondering why it wasn't so bright, but then after figuring out that all I had to do is rotate it around to find that perfect position, it was all good...

its the same bulb that he has for his dome light.. we just have two of them... and u just pull the whole peice off it will come off with minimal force, and you replace it and presto!!! ill post a pic tonight with one side changed because i messed up the order and the other one is on its way...

ok nvm i tried to take pics of the interior light and reverse light and license plate light, but my camera phone is not the best.. so ill try with someones camera!

Ektor, I just did mine. Took me 2 seconds. The only hard part I will have will be the side markers that I'll do tonight.

Ektor, can you do a tutorial on the HOW TO on side markers if you did them.

yea somebody do a post on those i was think about it but looks hard?? what bulb size 194? that or go with the those silver coated bulbs so it looks clear but ends up the amber color like my head light turn signals are. even though it would be nice to have LEDs all the way around but idk i kinda think if ur turn signals are white it kinda looks cheap, but if they were the Super white leds then might look tight, SOMEONE do it already LOL

I did my dome light last week and I must say it took a little bit of getting use to it but now it's great.

For some reason mine isn't that bright. Should I just switch it around?

I replied to this yesterday already, i would like to know who deleted my post and why....

anyways, what i wrote was that, i havent done my side markers cause you cant just change the bulb. it has an amber "cup" that covers the light.... it has been done, but it requires heating them up (risking them to lose their shape because of the small size) or prying them open and then glue'ing them up (not my cup of tea)

about the domelight, like i said before, the LEDs are a higher temperature so it will be a different color... technically the lower the temperature or light, the more visibility, hence the yellow fogs in many cars... you just have to get use to it.....
