Haha, as if you needed this. Our DIY section seemed lonely.

How to change Oil and Filter

Researched and called around and here are the Oil Filters available for our 08 Lancer as of yet. Should be able to buy off your local auto store; except of course, for the Mitsubishi one.

Start with the drain first, then the oil filter. Just in case. Let them
completely drain out.. 30 minutes or so.. Then twist in your new
oil filter and put the drain plug back on. REMEMBER to oil up your
new oil filter just a little bit before putting it back on.

    - Check for leaks!
    - Turn your engine and let it run for about 5 minutes.
    - Drive around the block and come back to check for leaks!

    Fin.

i did all of that b4 this post
the dealer ties the bolts and the filter tight and they put 10w30...i wanted to put the oil it says on the car so i did it myself...and i really recommend the hollow "medal"
i actually did have a leak from the filter so i just gave it more elbow juice and its cool now

Just a note to that tatsujo yo should fill the oil filter before replacing it. They can sometimes become air locked and thats a bad thing. thats my 2 cents lol.
