Hood and vents.

    Ok guys, I'm thinking of getting either the RRM or BODYKITS hood pretty soon. I got one question that has always bothered me, silly probably...

    With the vents.. I know how they work and what they are suppose to do.. but when it rains and what not, is it protected? Is there a way water is drained? Water proof material.. what happens during a heavy rain? Etc..

    Please give me some insight on this probably, silly question. Thanks.

    The intake is open, the vents will have mesh.

    So it's water proof and I shouldn't have to worry about rains would i?

    I wouldn't say waterproof. BTW nice sig with the honduh, I think you should make it lighter so others can see it clearly

    Haha, I didn't want to start or encourage any type of flame war even though this is an all lancer forum; there may still be possibilities. Haha.

    So would I have to worry about rain then? Or would the seepage be little enough that whatever does gets through.. evaporates quickly?

    Who cares if we dont like honduhs. I just dont like them, especially when their moms buys them a SI, put on some stickers and think they are racers because they can go fast in traffic, cutting everyone off. They never put up anything and want to race for fun? F that. It has to be worth it and on a legal, real drag strip.


    If you are worried about water then I suggest not getting it.

    Haha, man I understand what you mean. All I am saying is that even though I feel the same way, I dont want to encourage anything as I feel this forum has very mature respectable members. Thus the reason I made it so light, but still readable. :D I've come through a couple honda's in my lifetime and couldn't agree more with their little type r badges.

    I'm not worried about the water, I'm just curious to know that if it seeps through, it will not be like literally dumping a gallon of water onto my engine. I live in S. Cali so I'm really not worried because it doesn't rain hard. It's really more of a question that has been itching in the back of my mind for a while.

    Its off topic but thats why there are honduh forums, I know they bash other cars there also. This guy wanted to run in his "spoon" engine because he thought he was the ish. He saw my front mount in my 2g eclipse and got really quiet. If you make your sig lighter and honduh lovers start something, I got your back.

    i always make fun of honda's its the best to see a "type R" civics that adds 100 HP because of there badge lol!

    Ok OK OK I know this is not the car of choice around here. So I photoshopped it as much as possible.

    The hood that Extreme is putting on my 08 will have this style of vent set up on it. I dont expect all or any to like , but I thought I would let you know that this will be an option as well.

    THAT IS THE HOOD OF MY DREAM! I can't wait on ED now.. Every Need For Speed game I played had have that type of hood. (drools)

    Best thing is to go to their site and price out other compact to mid size sedan c/f hoods and go from there. When everything is in production, they will be giving us a team discount.
