is it also possible that different ballast like the one being sell separately at Ebay would fit to any brand of HID kits? Thanks!

also remember that your fogs go off when the highs go on, unless you swap those out as well for an independent controller. hence, flashing your high beams at somebody (which you shouldn't be doing anyway, regardless of their high beam state) turns off the fogs and turns them on -- not good for the ballast.

so an independent switch is the best idea if you can swing it.

.. just buy one every few months and you can bypass dealing with the seller for service.

    Nonesense...

Ive had 2 ebay kits on my car, one for 11 months and one for 3 months, no problem... actually the 11 month one has been on 24/7 cause i didnt address the DRL problem. Ive been doing HIDs for years... trust me, he will be fine ;)

I'm jealous of your luck. I've love if you could share it, as I've had nowhere near that kind of run with either of my Lancers.

I haven't had any warranty-related issue with my second 09 GTS. Well, I did with my last 09 and a lot of other people have had a bunch of random issues as well as strickingly similar ones (w/ and w/o TSBs) with these cars. The warranty exists there for a reason, so it all depends on where you want to be when you need to exercise it.

I have noticed that most eBay kits that advertise 6000k bulbs actually turn out to be much bluer than they should be -- in the neighborhood of what would be 8000k. Likewise, 8000k turn out purple. I also wonder why the eBay kits are advertised with warranty at all
