i recently purchased this HID kit on ebay.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 0221473501

well i tried to read the instructions and couldnt understand so i looked around the forums and i saw that you have to connect 2 wires to the battery but my kit does not have that or a relay.... so do i have to buy this or how to i install them?

    thanks

Some of the cheaper kits don't come with the relay. What you basically have to do is take out the stock bulb and unhook it from the stock plug, then just plug the ballast directly into the stock headlight plug and then plug the bulb into the ballast, then put the bulb in the headlight housing and then mount the ballast. It's pretty simple, simply plug and play. I don't have the relay on mine but I ordered one, its another safety precaution so it doesn't short anything out. Also, it helps make your lights not flicker if they do, because they have a direct power source from your battery. Another reason for the relay is to help solve the DRL problem. Hope this helped.

My suggestion is when buying HIDs, get one with a delay.

you mostly only need a relay for ur low beam cuz of the drl... the rest is fine without relay

honestly i got the same kit and i dont have a relay i just leave them on 24/7 which doesnt effect me or them at all. because mostly ohh H I D kits are the same. just plug them up like someone said ^^ there and they'll work just fine thats just me though bets buying and going through all the trouble of a relay
