    +1

I looked at what comes with a hid kit and decided its too advanced for my knoledge so I am sticking to performance upgrades for now.

hids ive installed some with the help of a friend.. it took us 20 min for the fogs and around 1h for the headlight... no need to remove bumper or anything!!

I don't know about the Lancer, but with my Mazda I didn't have to remove the bumper to install my HIDs. I'm pretty sure you can find a place to stick the ballasts, though (which is the main issue with installing HIDs).

So pretty much what this link above is saying is that instead of connecting the plug on the HID light to the factory light socket, cut the plug off the HID bulb and connect it to your parking light wires??

I just wanted to make sure I was understanding that correctly before I go and cut the wrong wires and have to spend another $90 on bulbs.

Well i attempted to hook up the HIDs in my car and ran into a problem. The passenger side works great by splicing into the parking lights for the low beams however when I do the same to the driver side all the low beam does is blink, if I hook it directly to the battery it works perfect. Any suggestions on this one??

You spliced into the wires?? They should just hook right up to the ballist

lol if u spend an hour installing HIDs u should stop right there
all it takes is 5 minutes and to sove the DRLs just keep your lights on since they shut off when u leave the car.
also by doing this when u turn them off while driving u can turn them back on i do it all the time

For the DRL's there was a list I pm'd someone and hopefully they can re-post when I said to him.

HIDs don't take that long to install in the first place.

well i dont want to leave my lights on all the time thats why I use a quick connect to splice into the parking lights for the constant 12v power. Is it possible that the right side is wired into the DRLs somehow or may because I dont have a wiring harness?
