Hey all, My HID headlights are on their way with Jrox's harness...but I wanna replace my foglights too, and I know it CAN be done, I'm just wondering the how? And by that I mean where are all the wires going and still looking clean under the hood?! Pictures and explanations would be AWESOME!
well for your fogs i would think you would have to remove the cover on the front and take out the housing. then detach the plug from the wires to the foglamp assembly itself, and insert the new relay and HID setup. I am making this assumption based on a basic HID install.
I have 3500K in my fogs. All I did was order a H3 hid kit and cut the harness and connect it to my factory fog wires. Then I hid the ballasts and installed the new bulbs into the housing. Easy.
HAHA thanks guys, I know it's pretty easy, I'm just worried about hiding all the wires and whether or not the ballast will go bad being in that little compartment behind the fogs...There's a nice ledge there, but what about water ya know?
A friend of mine has HID's in his foglights on his Colorado for about 2 years now, and has never had a problem with water. Most ballasts are water-resistant anyway, so even if it does get wet it is not that big of a deal, just as long as you don't submerge them or anything.
Ok guys thanks a lot! I ordered them this morning, can't wait until next week! haha! BTW...got the wire harness from jrox already and he sent it out on tuesday! REALLY quick man! I'm gonna install it tomorrow morning on my stock bulbs just so it's ready for the HIDs! WHOOHOO!!!
Hye guys...JUST installed the harness from jrox...works like a charm no more drl's! Now just gotta wait until my HIDs come in on Wednesday!
