how about taking out the clear cover of the taillight...sand the inside...tape the area that you want to keep the same and spray it black...snap it back on...without putting the clear cover back...
umm... not putting the clear cover back on? i just think that'd look ugly, plus i'm pretty sure it's there for a reason, to protect the bulbs from exposure to the air/sun?
someone tried taking off the clear cover and fried part of it in the microwave LOL  if you figure out a way GJ
Its not that hard really. To unstick the adhesive of the headlights or taillights you can heat the over to about 300-350 degrees. Once there TURN THE OVEN OFF, then put the headlight/taillight inside for about 5-10 minutes and then remove. That should be enough to loosen the glue so you can tear apart the taillights for your's or anyone's painting project. If the bulbs are protected as is then you are all good even without the plastic clear cover, but I'd agree its there to protect the brakelights from damage during a slow or light impact.
dude trust me i was the first one to do that...that shit dont work for the taillight heres a link to my old post... http://www.lancertuners.com/modules.php ... sc&start=0
Ain't that a.... If its some type of super glue you should be able to use googone, or something similar to get the glue to release.
Yeah, the taillights are not glued shut ... its some sort of plastic pinch method or something like that. One word ... Dremel.
