Ok so i started adding some interior lighting under my seats and all went well but when i removed the center console i ran into a major problem. My car is a es cvt without heated seats. Under the centerconsole)the part with the cupholders there are a few plugs, while playin around in there (not splicing into the factory wires) i nudged one of those plugs pretty hard and recieved a massive spark. I now have no control over my climate control as well as getting the car out of park. Now i did the little ttrick to get the car outta park but the dash display is now reading that i need to get everything checked(abs, airbag, engine, etc, etc, etc)the dispay even tells me to slow down. The last problem is that the car feels like it is stuck in low, and im fearing the worst(fried ecu) anyone with some knowledge of our electrical system please shine some ligh on me

well it took me twenty minutes to get the car to a dealership only a mile up the road, They sayit may not be covered under warranty. So now all i can do is sit here with a tube pf lube and wait for the rape when they call me.

did you take out all your "lighting" before you went to the dealer? that really sucks but I really wouldn't expect them to cover that under warranty...

guess when i hit that plug under the console it pinched and shorted one of the wires causing the ecm to ground out so they are not gonna cover it[/i]

i wasnt tapping any wires only wires i had were from the led strips, Nothing was energized what happened was is there a re a few plugs under the center console that are unused(heated seat controls and what not) while pulling one of my unenergized wires from undrer the center console i hit one of those unused plugs and voila short circuit. but not to my wire to the chasis
