I just got my 17'' Koing Unknowns with TPS sensors installed in my car today. The Tire pressor alarm came on after I left the shop. I figured i'd have to drive the car a little bit before it registered the new sensors. After driving it for 20 mins (to work) I got a CEL prompting me to service my car. Do you think this is because its not working with the new pressure senors? I will be going back to Mavis tires tomorrow to get the torque checked on the Lugs. Is there anything I need to do to get my car to work with the new sensors?

Must go to the dealer to calibrate the new TPMS. If they are the same set from the OEM wheels, then I don't know what is wrong.

CEl is most likely not because of the tpms, i drove all winter with no sensors and never got a CEL

They're actually new TPMS. I got everything from www.discounttiredirect.com. The order got a little messed up so they didn't mount them for me, but they covered the charges for the install. Alright i'll go up to the dealer tomorrow and see if they can help me. Thanks guys

If they are new tpms go to the dealer and get them calibrated. This is the ONLY way to get rid of the cel.

To enkrypter_DJ: Driving on wheels without tpms sensors WILL cause a service light. There is no way around this.
