Heatshield for intake.

They are pretty much universal. you can google it and there are several manufactures that make them. One of the guys here on this forum, kinkbmxryder has one on his 08 DE:

my opinion, it looks restricting as chetman said. and doesnt do a thing. basically its design there to "protect" the filter from the heat given of from the exhaust header. Hence the word heat shield. But I have known to be wrong at times. but that is my 2 cents

The question was probably particular to kinks. Not the website you gave bras. Unless that was the one kink bought.

The tone of the intake is a little bit deeper. Also, the tone kicks up a little sooner around 2000rpm on casual driving. Any gains? I didn't feel much, it may be too minimal to notice. That's about it.
