hey guys new member here. I bought a used 2008 Lancer GTS back in August and since i have owned it the front tires(inside back) rub the inside fender and frame when i turn the wheel the whole way to either side. Car is completely stock and tires are the correct size. Just got the front end alligned and it still does it. I was just wondering if anyone else experienced this problem or has heard about this? Any solution? I havent called mitsu about it yet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
No rubbing here. You said the car was used? Maybe something happened to it that no one informed you about ??
carfax will show an acident if it was reported/claimed. if the guy decidded to fix it with his own money which by the sounds of it he did , Hence the rubbing problem carfax will be useless. with a tire rubbing problem with evrythign stock id start by making sure the splash guards are installed correctly, If everything seems fine then something very serious is crooked on that car and i would trade it in right away an accept the loss.
OK guys here is what i found out. Took my car back to the dealer that i bought it from to check it out. When i bought the car the dealer put a new set of tires good year eagle F1's on it. Apparently they bought the correct size but they said that they are too wide and thats why they are hitting. I asked how that is possible since they are the correct size tire and they said that the width of the tire can vary by brand and the tires on my lancer before were a different brand. I dont know if this is a bunch of BS but im calling them today and making them put a new set on or fix the problem. What a pain in the ass  The car wasn't in an accident according to Car fax and frame isnt bent or anything.
